How is this guy in the position of writing articles about this game when he’s so clueless about how to play it?

Getting a platform without merit in a gaming publication because of demographics. Nope never seen this before

I mean, I get the excitement and I am also really looking forward to the update, but I don't understand how you CAN'T have enough food.
Even without meat it's so simple to keep your people well fed. In 75 hours of playing and finishing the game twice I did not have a single month where the gang was hungry.
🥕Veggies offer so much, add some 🍓berries, maybe some 🍯honey and a few midgame 🥚eggs, done.
I also use apples almost every game, but mainly cause I love the look. And I always build a small farm later on, also cause I just like having one :D

I agree that food supply is never an issue.
IF the game is well balanced, you should NEED variety.
"Winning" the game with 2 or 3 food types and a COPY/PASTE economy that lets you buy everything all while ignoring the strengths of the region isn't much of a challenge.
IF a food type is in the game it needs to be important and if it's going to be important then you need to be able to maintain a supply of it.
Importing can't be the solution because it is nonsensical that none of the player's regions can have a meat surplus, but some region off the map has an infinite surplus to sell you. I think we can already maintain meat supply with trappers if enough families are hunting, but with the hunting bugs it is impossible to tell what that supply actually is.

u/InfestedRaynor 3h ago\r\n\n Veggies and apples need to be nerfed to make them less exploitable. Should have a max size after which you no longer receive more benefit. Currently they can go anywhere on any map and feed dozens. Makes farming wheat feel useless.
