How do I tell my farmers that if they don't start threshing right this instant they all will starve to death. Technical Difficulties
I don't know if this is a bug or a feature but my food situation is not good right now. I have 0 months left but not because I have no food, in fact I have plenty of wheat sitting in my trading outpost, but rather because my farmers (which I have now renamed all of them to idiots) are all sitting at home doing nothing. I have set threshing priority to max and also tried the work area workaround but neither work. Volvo plis fix

Worker/Family Management Question
I decided to start building out around my 'minning' area to the right here. Built out a logging camp to conceptually give them access to logs quicker (with a ox on a hitching post) and a few houses.
Problem is things are taking forever to be built over there and it seems like people are walking and moving stuff back and forth (even built an additional storehouse and granary).
Can I have certain individuals live and work over there?
Would that be even effective?🤔
Also, it's the only decent area with Flax so I'm going to get more invested....

Just saw that from a video from the ipfs, how do you make such perfect circle roads? Question

You can use the windmill to create a small circle to start with, then make the straight roads meeting in the middle and go outwards from there. It's not 'perfect', you still got to measure by eyesight.

u/tfarrister I did this but used a deer spawn circle as my starting point.

I suspect that farmers or granary workers aren’t willing to remove goods from a trading post if there’s an active trade route involving them, regardless of whether it’s import or export.
Except I know that’s not the case for all goods because I have no problem importing finished goods like food, clothing and weapons.
Those get distributed to storage, houses, and market stalls just fine.
I wonder if it’s strictly a crops issue.

It could be a problem where they won't pull it from the trading post and the wheat needs to be in a storage building. Try making a storage building just for wheat and setting the work area to just the trading post to try to force them to store the wheat from the trading post. Then the farmers should pull the wheat from the storage building. Of course try to keep everything as close as possible to make it easy.
Just an idea that I had, I've never imported wheat so I can't say if this will work or not. They should thresh year round if there's wheat in stores; however, plowing and sowing will always take priority over threshing.
Unfortunately, the game does still have a few bugs that are not fixed at this point.
I have found that it's best to micromanage farming unfortunately. I load up the farmhouse with villagers in march and complete plowing and sowing - then remove them all until late Oct or early Nov. Then i load it back up again and click 'early harvest'. Once the last of the harvest is done they all get removed from farmhouse otherwise they start plowing.
Once December comes they won't do anymore harvesting. But they should start threshing.
It's the only way I've found to work predictably.
